Carl ChoiChief Executive Officer & Co-FounderCEO and co-founder of Plan C Group, Inc., Carl Choi graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School Of Business and held senior positions with Andersen Business Consulting as well as Lions Gate Entertainment. As the visionary and creative brainchild behind Plan C Group, Inc., Carl is responsible for the company's remarkable accomplishments and growth— leading in bringing forth the vision of creating the “Premier Asian Lifestyle Company” through events, marketing and entertainment. As the CEO of Plan C Group, Inc., Carl has been a key player in the company's growth. Carl's emphasis on strategic business planning has been the driving force for co-founding companies such as Catch Music Group, i5 Studio Consulting, DJCity.com and the R.E.H.A.B. Projects Hip-Hop Lifestyle Store, a holding zone for the late Jam Master Jay's Scratch DJ Academy.
Carl is leading Plan C Group, Inc. to new markets and positioning the company to become the world's premier all-encompassing Asian lifestyle company.Carl first began his career by bridging entertainment and niche markets. His management of Far*East Movement, one of the most popular Asian American music groups in the U.S., and business support for artist Jin Au-Yeung, BET 106 & Park freestyle battle winner for seven weeks in a row, catapulted Catch Music Group's success.
Eddy ThaiDirector of FinanceEddy is the Director of Finance for Plan C Group, Inc (PCG). Founded in 2003, Plan C Group, Inc. is a leading Asian American Lifestyle Company, with a network of companies that includes Climax Global Network, LLC (CGN), PLAN C Agency, LLC (PCA), and Catch Music Group, LLC (CMG). The PCG network is catered to distribute content online, strategically market brands through a grassroots network and create lifestyle events for the Asian American youth and young adults. Plan C Group, Inc. serves as the business infrastructure to a collection of companies in the Asian American space sharing the mission to develop, produce and promote world-recognized lifestyles that stem from an under served community. Eddy is currently responsible for managing, planning, budgeting and financing PCG and all its subsidiary companies.
Before joining PCG, Eddy was a fixed income analyst responsible for portfolio construction, trade execution, due diligence, compliance and risk management at Lehman Brothers. Prior to that Eddy worked as a portfolio analyst structuring and managing fixed income products for public finance entities at Bond Logistix. Eddy has had extensive investment management experience in both the public and private sectors.
Eddy graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.A. degree in Psychology and Economics. He currently holds Series 6, 7, and 63 securities license and CA Life license. Business Unit Management
Ben TranPresident, Nightlife & EventsBenjamin Tran is currently COO of Plan C Group, Inc. as well as President of Climax Global Network (CGN) Nightlife and Events, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Plan C Group, Inc. Since taking over CGN, the company has established itself as the industry leader within the realm of Asian American event and entertainment. Benjamin’s background comes from his years at UCLA where he majored in Economics and specialized in Computing. All of which have lead him along the entrepreneurial path. He possesses over 11 years of experience in operations and events.
Giancarlo PachecoPresident, Marketing Services & Co-FounderGiancarlo Pacheco is President and Managing Partner of Plan C Agency, a full service marketing company based in Los Angeles. Giancarlo is a graduate of San Francisco State University and holds a B.S. in Organizational Communications & Minor Marketing. Over his career, he has been active in various capacities with several professional organizations, including President of the Filipino United Student Organization, Board Member of Northern California Filipino American Student Organization and Chancellor of Zeta Chi Epsilon. He is known as one of the founding fathers of Asian Pacific American (APA) events and his vision of uniting and providing a voice for Asian Pacific Americans led to the creation of Climax Global Network in 1995, the largest Asian Pacific American events production company in the United States. Giancarlo leads Plan C Agency with 14 years of experience and his clients include Verizon Wireless, Lionsgate, Diageo, Anheuser Busch, State Farm, McDonald's USA, Blackberry, Fox as well as many others.
Michael LomotanCreative Director, Marketing Services & Co-FounderMichael Lomotan is the Creative Director and founding partner for Plan C Agency (PCA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Plan C Group, Inc. Michael is responsible for tapping the creative identity and giving birth to fresh new ideas and strategic marketing programs. Michael also manages key accounts for PCA, and takes a first-hand approach in making sure all aspects of our proposed marketing programs are executed correctly.
Michael is also the co-founder of Climax Global Network (CGN), having started the company in 1995 as a means to help finance his collegiate endeavors. Fast forwarding to 2009, CGN has become one of the most prolific producers of Asian American events in the U.S.
Michael has extensive experience in Sales and Business Development, having held key roles in the bio-tech and software industry. As a key Account Executive with PerkinElmer(PE) LAS, Michael was responsible for multi-million dollar growth initiatives in the Western Region for PE’s Drug Discovery and Automation platforms. Michael managed high-level relationship within key bio-tech and pharmaceutical accounts and attained triple digit growth numbers in both the Bay Area and Southern California. Michael was also employee #5 at Zero Gravity Technologies, which was later acquired by Intertrust (ITRU), and served various roles within the start-up company. Michael was also a Sr. Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories, having worked on notable programs such as the Human and Drosophila Genome Project. At LBNL, Michael was responsible for materials management and production planning for the DNA Sequencing groups.
Michael has won numerous sales achievement awards, and was also nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year twice for the 2006 and 2007 San Diego Asian Heritage Awards. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his new daughter, and teaches Martial Arts at various schools across the nation. |
