Jeffrey Chao is Manager, Finance for Participant Media, where he is responsible for financial planning and analysis across the company, working closely with each department.

Prior to Participant, Jeff was Director of Finance and Operations for a company that bridges Hollywood and China. The company was a producer, distributor and investor in Asian themed films with international appeal. During his tenure, he established off-shore investment vehicles and learned how to repatriate profits from China.

Previous to entering the filmed entertainment arena, Jeff was Director of Finance at The Plan C Group, the premier Asian American lifestyle and marketing company with a footprint from Hong Kong to New York. The Plan C Group is a powerhouse of Asian American talent (Jin Tha MC and Far East Movement) and promoted 300+ nightclub events across the world since inception.

Jeff began his career at Wells Fargo Bank. Working at the corporate headquarters in San Francisco, he graduated the Financial Management Training Program and rotated through various roles in central finance. It was at Wells Fargo that Jeff established his interest and skill set in finance.

On his free time, Jeff enjoys volunteering and elevating his community. He graduated from UCSD with a BS in Management Science and various certificates in Business and Ecommerce. He enjoys kung fu, jogging, art, culture and the occasional rock concert.
